CAESARS POCONO RESORTS PRESENTS THE BEST OF “LAST COMIC STANDING” SEASON FIVE
– Top Five Finalists from the Hit NBC Show to Perform –
MOUNT POCONO, PA – Caesars Pocono Resorts will host the season-five finalists of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” on September 27th at Paradise Stream Resort. Comic Ralph Harris was declared the final comic added to the show’s top five grouping on Wednesday, August 15th. The season’s best comics will take the stage at 8:30pm.
- Finalist: Lavell Crawford – Loved by audiences nationwide, Lavell has built a strong fan base playing theatres, comedy clubs and colleges across the nation. He’s appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and was also a Finalist in the Comedy Central “Laugh Riots” stand-up competition.
- Finalist: Gerry Dee – Canadian Gerry Dee spent nine years as a schoolteacher before making the decision to pursue his career as a full-time stand-up comic in 2003. Gerry had appeared on “The Late Late Show”, Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and season four of “Last Comic Standing.”
- Finalist: Ralph Harris Jr. – Making his feature film debut this past year in Dreamgirls, Harris has also appeared on “Seinfeld”, “In Living Color”, “The Tonight Show” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” Most recently, he appeared in Evan Almighty with Steve Carell and Wanda Sykes.
- Finalist: Jon Reep – Perhaps best known as the red-headed “Hemi Guy” from Dodge’s recent ad campaign, Reep’s energetic brand of comedy has earned him appearances on CMT’s “Comedy Stage”, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and the upcoming feature film, Harold & Kumar go to Amsterdam.
- Finalist: Amy Schumer – A New York native, Schumer’s quick wit has earned her repeated appearances on Comedy Central and VH-1. Her self-produced piece, Chinese New Year, led to an internet deal with Comedy Central for which she provides original content.
