JAZZ SINGER AL JARREAU TO PERFORM LIVE AT CAESARS POCONO RESORTS
— Seven-time Grammy Winner to Appear in November —
LAKEVILLE, PA – Caesars Pocono Resorts is set to welcome seven-time Grammy award winner Al Jarreau to Cove Haven Resort for a live performance on Sunday, October 14, 2007. The evening’s entertainment will begin at 8:30 PM.
The only vocalist in history to win Grammys in three separate categories (jazz, pop and R&B), Jarreau has been entertaining audiences nationwide for more than four decades. His career has spanned 19 albums, including his 1975 debut, We Got By, and his most commercially successful record, Breakin’ Away, featuring the single “We’re in This Love Together”. Jarreau also penned and performed the theme to the 1980’s television show Moonlighting starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd and sang the line “... and so we all must lend a helping hand” in the USA for Africa performance of “We Are the World.”
Known for his scat singing and ability to vocally imitate different musical instruments, Jarreau is a multifacted performer who also appeared as the Teen Angel in a 1996 Broadway production of Grease. In 2001, he received an honorary star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
