COVE HAVEN RESORT WELCOMES 21 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
LAKEVILLE, PA – Caesars Pocono Resorts recently welcomed 21 international students into its management trainee program at Cove Haven Resort in Lakeville, PA. The summer-long program helped provide hands-on experience for the students, most of whom are pursuing hospitality degrees at university level.
Through the apprenticeship, students were given the responsibilities of permanent resort employees and also had the opportunity to shadow department managers in their daily tasks.
“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to help educate so many wonderful students from around the world,” said Human Resources Area Director Lenny Tasselmyer. “The program helped them learn skills required to run a full-service resort property and gave our full-time employees the chance to discover more about each student’s culture and experiences.”
The four-month long program, coordinated by Tasselmyer and an independent recruiting firm, included young adults from Slovakia, the Netherlands, England, Germany, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Barbados, Jamaica, Belize and Mexico.
Two other Caesars Pocono Resorts properties, Pocono Palace Resort and Paradise Stream Resort, have also hosted students from Slovakia, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Bahrain.
