Vassar made his debut on the American country music scene in the late 1990s co-writing number one singles for huge names such as Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina and Alan Jackson. His self titled debut album was released in early 2000 and certified gold in the US after producing five hit singles.

Named ASCAP’s songwriter/writer of the year, multiple times for songs such as Carlene, Rose Bouquet, That’s When I Love You, In A Real Love and more.
